Description: The Miry Road Dog Park, located adjacent to the Danbury Airport is one of two relatively-new dog parks opened by the city of Danbury. The City Council approved the use of the land off Miry Brook for the dog park in April 2015, and after allocating funds for it, construction was completed and a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on October 24, 2016 to official open it. The dog park contains two fenced in areas; 0.82 acres for small dogs and 1.1 acres for large dogs (20 lbs. and over). Water is provided on site and there are picnic tables and lawn chair seating available. Waste bins are also in convenient locations.

REVIEW BY DUSTY BLUE: This place has two really large fenced-in areas… one for smaller dogs like me and another for larger dogs. There are no trees in the fenced area. They’re pretty much open fields, so I didn’t find anything to mark. But I really appreciated an open bowl of water that was available near the entrance. As my owner and I were getting ready to leave, a biplane flew really low over us on his way to the airport, and he dipped his wings… pretty exciting!
