Description: Covering about a quarter of an acre, this Bridgeport dog park near the campus of Sacred Heart University directly borders Veterans Memorial Park & Walking Trails. Its entrance is a bit obscured by a line of food trucks that line the the stone wall on Park Avenue.
It is a fully-fenced park that includes complimentary poop bags, and a waste bin. There is a small dog area fenced off from the larger main area. It is fully canopied by trees, and there are several large oaks growing in the fenced areas. There are a few boulders within the dog park itself, and several steel benches line the perimeter outside of the fenced area.

REVIEW BY DUSTY BLUE: When my owner and I approached this fenced in park, all of the fence doors were open and the poop bag dispenser was empty. This park needs some love! It has potential. There are more trees in this park than any park I’ve been to in the county, which I love because it means I can sniff and mark them all up. My owner complained that several large branches and tree trunks had fallen in the main area, but I didn’t mind. On the day we came, the ground was completely covered by leaves, which made my owner do a tick check on me as soon as we got home.
