rowayton-benchDescription: This park is comprised of a rectangular fenced-in area of almost two acres. The main entrance has a double gate to safeguard against dogs running into the street. Seating lines the perimeter which consists of a few wooden benches and carved stone blocks. Most dogs are off leash and there is no segregation between smaller and larger dogs. The park is clean and well-kept, has waste bins near the entrance and offers a large open area for dogs to socialize. The dog run features a little shade with a row of trees on two of its borders, and there is a gravel-lined watering area with self-filling bowls exclusively for dogs.

dusty-circle-smREVIEW BY DUSTY BLUE: This place is OK, but since I love to mark trees I was a little bummed that there weren’t too many readily available as soon as I entered the park. I loved the watering area. It reminds me of Spencer’s Run at Waveny Park in New Canaan but this park is a little more rustic. On the day I visited, there were a lot of big dogs and one of them got a little too rough and playful with me and I had to growl at him a few times before he got the message. I’m only 24 lbs. but I don’t take any guff.
